TechYouth Incubator Demo Day: Connecting 10 Potential Startup Projects with Leading Investors in the Region
đź“Ś 100% of startups in the TechYouth Incubator have developed a Minimum viable product and are ready to launch on the market.
đź“Ś The tech-startups cover many fields: Edtech (educational technology), Fintech (financial technology), Healthtech (healthcare technology), Agritech (agricultural technology) and the Metaverse (virtual universe).
📌 The Demo Day has successfully resulted in 5 “follow-up” meetings between startups and investors/advisors.
After 3 months of “incubation” at the TechYouth Incubator – co-organized by VinUniversity Entrepreneurship Lab (E Lab) and UpYouth, 12 tech startups of VinUniversity students and young founders aged 18-25 pitched their products and business models to potential investors and investment funds on Demo Day.
The event was attended by distinguished experts and guests from leading investment funds in the region, such as ThinkZone Ventures, GIMO, OMT, TopCV, Vietnam Silicon Valley , ViAct, Sub wallet, Kisstart up, BK Fund, etc., as well as by international organizations, such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Among the projects presented at Demo Day, 8 were founded/co-founded by VinUniversity students, namely: LEAN, Mount2 Speak, UniFix (Edtech), Zinance (Fintech), Mediaverse (Metaverse), TinFam (Agritech), Medbot (Healthtech) and Tra Da Mentor (social enterprise). All have gone through 10 advanced training workshops with founders/ CEOs from large startups and received an initial funding of $2,000 from VinUniversity E Lab, as well as continuous support from startup mentors and experts since their idea generation stage.
Demo Day not only marked the maturity of these startups, but also served as an opportunity for teams to receive feedback from experts and successful entrepreneurs, as well as connect with potential investors.
“I was very impressed to hear students present their professional and high-quality pilot products. In the future, I hope to contribute to and support these projects in the role of mentor and connector – connecting them with potential consumers and investment funds., shared Mr. Thang Tran, USAID Innovation Program Manager.
We will introduce to you about these student startup projects in the next articles.
