According to Ms. Andrea, the candidates highly sought-after by global leading hotels are those who shine with positivity and strong aspirations, as well as love and a desire to improve the lives of others. Additionally, sincerity, humility, meticulousness, thoroughness, and strong communication skills to properly express yourself are also essential qualities. With Mandarin Oriental’s plan to introduce their first two branches in Vietnam, Ms. Andrea believes that VinUniversity students from the College of Business and Management in general, and students in the Hospitality Management major in particular, will be able to access valuable opportunities at Mandarin Oriental.

Emphasizing the unique vision of developing a spa system with services beyond the usual concepts of body therapies, Ms. Andrea opened up about her perspective on a holistic experience that embraces the healing of body, mind, and soul. Especially in the context of the new normal with the increasingly popular trend of online health consulting services, hospitality brands have shifted their priority to focus on digitalization to cater to customers’ demands.
Despite being limited to only online interactions due to the pandemic, this valuable experience sharing session from an expert in the spa and hospitality industry has provided fresh knowledge for students of VinUniversity’s College of Business and Management. The opportunity to interact with leaders of industries that they care about has not only given our students the latest updates on businesses and the current market, but also plenty of inspiration to strengthen their confidence in their chosen paths.
