VinUniversity’s Partnership with 2 Subsidiaries of Intercontinental Hotels Group Opens Up Internship Opportunities for Hospitality Management Students
Recently, VinUniversity’s College of Business and Management signed cooperation agreements with InterContinental Hanoi Westlake and InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 – subsidiaries of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). Currently, IHG owns 17 renowned hotel brands, including: Six Senses, Regent, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, KIMPTON, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, etc.
According to the cooperation agreements, students of VinUniversity’s College of Business and Management will have the opportunity to intern at these 2 hotels as well as learn from their leaders and senior managers, through:
- “5-in-5″ Internship on every Friday for 5 consecutive weeks throughout the term to get overall insights of the businesses’ different departments and operations before the Summer Internship
- Summer Internship, which lasts a minimum of 8 weeks
- Guest lecturers/ Industry speakers’ series
- Mentorship program
- Company visits
At the signing, representatives from the 2 hotels pledged to accompany VinUniversity in training human resources in hospitality by providing VinUniversity students with the ideal environment for self-development and the best conditions to become future business leaders.
Also in the field of Hospitality, VinUniversity has successfully signed cooperation agreements with VinPearl – the largest resort brand in Vietnam – and the Vietnam – Cambodia Marriott Business Council (VCMBC), among others, in order to promote Industry Engagement programs and provide ample “real study – real practice” opportunities for students. VinUniversity’s freshmen and sophomores have learned valuable lessons and accumulated wonderful experiences through these mentorship and internship programs at leading enterprises.
