Prof. Sunmee Choi, Dean of the College of Business and Management, VinUniversity stated: “Partnering with SNU is an important milestone. Although VinUniversity is a young institution – we recently completed our first academic year, our mission is to build a world-class university. To achieve that, working with top-tier global universities is essential. I believe that VinUniversity students will be the future leaders of Vietnam, and those of SNU are future leaders of South Korea. In the near future, through student exchange programs, they will have the chance to study together, participate in common projects and form beautiful friendships. For that reason, I am looking forward to a wonderful tomorrow when they are successful leaders and serve as the bridge for friendship and economic cooperation not only between Vietnam and South Korea, but also with the region and the world”.

Prof. Youjae Yi, Dean of the SNU Business School, also expressed: “It is with great pleasure to witness this historic moment between VinUniversity College of Business and Management and SNU College of Business Administration. Vietnam has been Korea’s important partner in many aspects such as economy, society and culture. Through the partnership with VinUniversity, I hope young intellectuals will benefit from our mutual cooperation in the area of education and research. It is with great excitement to start the new journey with VinUniversity, working towards a bright future”.

Seoul National University ranks 1st in South Korea and 36th in the world (according to QS World University Ranking 2021). With the vision “A Community of Knowledge, Leading the Future”, SNU emphasizes training students’ ability to pose new questions, rather than passively providing solutions for existing ones. Students need to have the flexibility to freely cross disciplinary boundaries. Above all, they must keep the community in mind, creating positive values for the society. These values align very well with VinUniversity’s mission of developing talents for the future, who are knowledgeable, capable, and passionate about contributing to improving themselves and societal conditions, inspiring the current and next generations, and making lasting positive impacts on global development.
