VinUni-Yonsei Collaboration: Taking Off Into The Sky

October 12, 2020

In September, VinUni signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Yonsei University and Yonsei School of Business. The two institutions agreed to collaborate bilaterally on the exchange of students, faculty, and administrative staff, joint research and teaching activities, and exchanges of field trips, study tours, and academic materials. This agreement marks another milestone in global outreach of VinUni and is enthusiastically speculated to launch the young Vietnamese university further to the world stage.

Confident in the phenomenal growth of the international network of VinUni as an emerging university, Prof. Rohit Verma, Founding Provost of VinUni commented: “Yonsei University is one of the most prestigious universities in one of the most innovative countries in the world. This partnership confirms the trust of an excellent global academic partner on VinUniversity and opens up many opportunities for the students, faculty, and staff of both sides. I trust that this wonderful cooperation is the beginning of many more exciting exchanges between both institutions”.

Prof. Kil-Soo Suh, Dean of Yonsei School of Business added: “It is certainly a great pleasure and honor for us to be the first international partner of VinUni’s College of Business and Management. We see great potential in this partnership and are looking forward to deepening our collaboration in various aspects in the years to come.”

Prof. Sunmee Choi, VinUni’s Dean of College of Business and Management, said: “Two of the best private universities in Korea and in Vietnam agreed to become sisters and brothers. Being a member of both universities, I find this agreement particularly meaningful and empowering. My good understanding of both colleges will enable me to excavate many mutually beneficial gems through this relationship”.

This collaboration provides VinUni students with unique academic and cultural exchanges at an excellent destination—the economically dynamic and artistically robust Seoul. It also connects world-class business professors from both sides in meaningful projects and exchanges that nurture their development.

With VinUni students celebrating the “Take-off” of their inaugural academic year, the cooperation with Yonsei—one of the top 3 ‘’SKY” universities in Korea will surely fly these talents far!
